The tetraploid version of the favourite H. 'First Frost', H. 'Ben Vernooij'^® has thick leaves and a dramatic cream edge. The incredible vibrancy of the colours make for a real centrepiece. Named by Dutch grower Paul Vernooij for his brother Ben. (For those of us whose Dutch is not as good as the English spoken by most people in The Netherlands, Vernooij is pronounced "Vernoy").
